www.guidepost.uk.com There are quite a number of new maps and books this month, we just need the weather to improve a bit now!
There have been changes in the way OS mapping can be used by other publishers. As a result two new series have been published, both by long established mapping and travel publishers:
AA Walker’s and Leisure Maps
The AA have taken OS Landranger and Explorer mapping and produced maps which are centred on popular outdoor destinations, and in many cases you will need one AA map rather than 2, 3 or 4 OS maps.
A-Z Adventure Atlases
OS Explorer maps in book form! So far, A-Z Adventure Atlases have been published for Snowdonia, Lake District Southern Fells, Lake District Northern Fells and Dartmoor. The books are the same size as a standard Explorer map, and as well as the maps include a comprehensive index to towns, villages, hamlets and locations, natural features, nature reserves, car parks and youth hostels.
We are able to extend our offer on Ordnance Survey folded laminated Explorer / Outdoor Leisure maps - we have reduced the price to £11.99 per map, a saving of £3 (20%) on each map – this offer will now run until late May.
Prize draw – Paper Ordnance Survey Explorer of your choice.
If you would like to be in with a chance of winning an OS paper Explorer map – the recommended map for walkers – please send us an e-mail. The winner will be selected at random on 31st May.
