This South Pennine walk from the Pennine village of Marsden is a tough day out in the wild moors. There are a number of options available to shorten the route, some of which are described in the text. One of the perks of this route is the opportunity to boost the flagging energy levels by sampling some of the best bacon butties available anywhere. The route does cross some boggy terrain and in bad weather route finding can be very difficult.
