Book Review - Walking in the Aire

Book cover imageAiredale in West Yorkshire offers some pleasant walking in an area often ignored by visitors. Lee Senior, in his first walking book, provides 14 short walks in this valley aimed at new and less experienced walkers. With the routes varying in length from 3 to 8 miles there is something to suit all abilities and tastes.

Using his local knowledge, each Walk is supported by an introduction, detailed route instructions, photographs and an outline map showing the walk route. All is presented in a clear and easy to read format. To add interest to the walk, relevant historical notes are included which should add to the walker's enjoyment. The area is well-served by public transport and notes are provided for walkers who prefer not to use their car.

This is Lee Senior’s first foray into self-publishing and he is to be commended on the quality of presentation and content. The area does offer some good walking and Lee has done a great job providing encouragement for people to get out and enjoy the Aire valley.

The book is available for purchase on Facebook at Walking in the Aire. The cover price is £6.99 plus postage at £1.45
