Ynys Onnen and Ynys Meicel, Strumble Head
Walk Photo 347901
Caption - Ynys Onnen and Ynys Meicel, Strumble Head, Pembrokeshire. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path approaches Strumble Head from the south. The view across Carreg Onnen Bay is framed by the two islands, Ynys Onnen and Ynys Meicel (with the lighthouse), and Pen Caer, the tip of the mainland. The lighthouse is connected with the mainland by a footbridge (not normally publicly accessible). The dark rocks on the left of Ynys Onnen are called Carreg Onnen and lend their name to the bay.

Pembrokeshire Coast
Walking in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is Britain's only truly coastal national park. Rimmed by a spectacular waterscape of rugged cliffs, sandy beaches and wooded estuaries, the land rises to wild inland hills. This environment is a place of sanctuary for wildlife who share the landscape that has been shaped by many people over the centuries. Tombs and castles, crosses and cottages, quarries and quays are all reminders of man's endeavours, which remains a working landscape. Inland the Preseli Hills offer excellent walking across the moorland ridge. More Information
